Academic Coaching and Tutoring hires University of Delaware undergraduate and graduate students.  Undergraduate students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, 30 or more credit hours (AP credits are not eligible), and a minimum grade of “B+” in each course for which they will be tutoring.

After meeting with Tutoring Staff and going over the New Tutor Check List, you must wait until the following day to set up your availability in Penji.

Make sure that you follow the steps outlined in the Creating Tutor Availability document in the ACT Student Staff (all tutors) Google Drive and toggle to Staff Home to input your available tutoring times and courses.

As an undergraduate student you will be paid $15/hr.  If you are a graduate student your rate is $16/hr.

All tutors are paid through Academic Coaching and Tutoring and are added to the Workforce payroll system. Tutors are responsible for accurately recording and submitting their hours worked in Workforce to ensure timely payment. Instructions for clocking in and out can be found under the timesheets and compensation folder in the ACT Student Staff (All Tutors) Google Drive.
